“Gareth is the youngster and front man of the band.
- He sings lead and
- plays rhythm guitar in the band.
- He also dabbles on the harmonica for some numbers and
- also bashes the tambourine now and again.*
He has been seen on Pop Idol, getting to the 3rd round and more recently on the BBC’s Any Dream Will Do, where he received very positive comments from the judges about his voice.
Gareth’s musical tastes vary. He could be listening to The Darkness, Oasis, Elvis, Robbie Williams, or Phantom of the Opera or Grease so it’s a mixed bag.”

*Editor’s note: It must be pointed out that while the dabbling remains the same, the bashing has improved considerably.
Dave is playing bass at the moment
“I have been playing music since I was about 9 years old on a ukulele, then by the age of 12 progressed onto an electric guitar (it was a bit big and heavy).
At about 23 I took classical music guitar lessons and bought a fabulous guitar, this lasted for about 8 years and had great fun until my wife began to really hate the “heavy” guitar music, as she called it.
I also bought a “G” Banjo and really enjoyed playing this one…. I started a “Ceilidh” band with a couple of mates of mine in the early eighties and called it Hedgehog Pie. This was great fun for the first 15 years playing Irish & English dance, and the good old Blue Grass American hoe-down tunes at barn dances, weddings and school dances.. etc..etc.
Had two years off and got musical withdrawal symptoms so luckily a mate of mine asked me to play Bass in his band… Been playing Bass for a few years in rock and cover bands…now playing with a Musicman Sterling MM bass and push it through about 600 watts of a Trace Elliot amp (oooh the vibration!!…had one or two of my beers fall over so far, I now put them on the floor).*

*Editors note: It is rumoured that, due to the vibration, someone’s testicles also fell to the floor on more than one occasion.
Rob plays the drums and sticks.
” I’m Rob and I’m the guy smiling at the back, playing those drums! I love playing all kinds of popular styles and couldn’t think of a better place to be sat down on the stool every night behind my kit enjoying cranking out another great gig with Sticky Jack!
The thing I like about drums is there is no mystery to it, but nobody can deny the power of
the rhythm behind every great song. Ask me what’s my favourite band and I won’t be able to tell you a single answer *, because my list is growing constantly like a bloody great snowball rolling through your town, picking up new ideas and influences all the time. I love it!
Kit wise I have too many drum kits, too many snare drums and cymbals and a nice big gong too, but the favourite is of course my big old Yamaha Absolute kit. Boom Boom Shake the Room!”

* Editors note: That is probably the reason why he is never asked.
Joe, aka as Hose “A” for Anglo-Saxon speaking folks, plays the guitar and sometimes uncontrollable yet musical squeals (debatable)
“He started playing guitar at a very young age after watching “A hard day’s night “by the Beatles (or something like that)
He loves playing all kinds of music, primarily with an electric guitar.
In 1979 Joe attended the “Taller the Musics” of Barcelona under the tuition of Arthur Bernstein (now a lecturer at the LIPA – Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts) and started playing with local bands his favourite music: Brit and American Rock, Pop and of course, Funky and Blues.
In 1981 Joe moved to Central Florida to further his musical career, starting with theory, composition and classical guitar studies at Brevard Community College.
During the 80’s and 90’s Joe played with several professional acts throughout Florida, with special emphasis in Orlando and the Space Coast.
In 1995 Joe moved back to his native Barcelona, actively playing and recording with bands, TV musicals, and session work.
Joe moved to London in 2007 ; after several stints with local acts, he started playing guitar for Sticky Jack during Summer 2008″

*Editors note: Joe’s bio was much longer albeit in Spanish (Castillian) not really worth the effort of translating.
Kev plays the other guitar
“Played in earlier bands with Dave, didn’t learn my lesson and have teamed up with him
again in Sticky Jack! Like a variety of music from rock, soul, funk, pop and acoustic.
Favourite artists include Jeff Buckley, Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2 and Radiohead. Favourite guitarists are Nils Lofgren, Nile Rogers, Jeff Buckley and Jimi Hendrix. Play mainly Fender and Taylor guitars and a Mesa/Boogie amp.”
